Banana Sheet Cake Recipe

You must have eaten many a sheet cakes but this banana sheet cake is different as it contains wonderful flavor of bananas, can be made quickly and is a perfect dessert for large gatherings.
It is one of the most delicious cakes you will ever eat. To top it, lemon extracts take it to a different level altogether

Preparation Time : 20 minutes

Serving : 4 People

Ingredients :

Cake:
all purpose flour- 2 cups
baking soda- 1 teaspoon
cinnamon- 1 teaspoon
salt- ½ teaspoon
unsalted butter: ½ cup
white granulated sugar- ½ cup
brown sugar- ½ cup
eggs-2
vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
mashed ripe bananas- 1 cup which should contain 3 medium or 2 large bananas
fat sour cream- ½ cup
Frosting:
6 ounces of cream cheese
¼ cup unsalted butter
2 cups of powdered sugar (or as per your choice of sweetness of the cake)
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 teaspoon of lemon extract

Method :

Pre heat the oven to about 175 degrees centigrade.
Fluff up the baking soda, cinnamon, flour and salt in a medium sized bowl.
Whisk together the sugars and the butter in a mixer. Drop in the eggs slowly that means one by one and then mix in the mashed bananas and the vanilla.
Combine in the half of the mixture containing flour then add in the sour cream and finally, add the rest of the mixture.
Bake the newly made mixture for about 20 minutes in the oven or you can also continue baking until it becomes nicely browned.
Let the cake cool down completely before you start frosting.
When frosting, mix in all the ingredients completely in an electric mixer. Spread the frosting uniformly on the cake and if is too hard to spread then you can add one or two teaspoon water for it to spread easily over the cake.
Make slices to serve.

Nutritional values : each slice of it contains carbohydrates 25%, dietary fiber 4%, and fat 19% and quite a good amount of Vitamin A and C.
