Banana Banoffee Pie Recipe

Counted among delicious deserts, Banoffee pie is prepared by combining banana, chocolate and cream which is really irresistible.
Word Banoffee is constructed by combining “Banana” and “toffee”

Preparation Time : 1 Hour 20 minutes

Serving : 8 People

Ingredients:

For cupcakes- Condensed Milk Can (Sweetened) - 350g
Plain sieved flour- 250g
Chilled Butter (Unsalted) - 110g
Icing sugar- 110g
Eggyolk-1
Lemon juice-1/2
Cream (thick) - 350ml
Grated chocolate- 2 tablespoons

Method:

First of all, put unopened condensed milk can in saucepan and add some water to cover it. Boil it and then simmer on low flame for approx three hours. While simmering top up with water whenever necessary. Cool the can by placing it in cold water after removing it from heat. Refrigerate till required.
For making pastry, in a food processor put icing sugar, butter and flour and mix until breadcrumbs resembling mixture is formed. Add 2 tbs of cold water and egg yolk. Process it until smooth ball is formed. Refrigerate for approximately 30 minutes after warping it in plastic wrap.
At 190 degree Celsius preheat oven.
On floured surface, roll-out pastry as well as line eight 3x15 cm circular tart pans. Cool for another 15 minutes. With baking paper (non stick) line the pastry as well as fill it with pastry weights or with rice. Place it in oven and bake it for another 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, remove it from oven and replace paper or weights and place it in oven for another 15 minutes. Set aside for cooling after replacing it from oven.
For serving, pour condensed milk on every pastry shell. Take thin slices of bananas and toss them in lemon juice and then place them on layer of pastry. On top, whisk cream as well as pile. At last use chocolates for decorating.
