Ingredients:

For cupcakes -
Unsalted butter – 4 tablespoons
Granulated sugar - ¾ cup
Egg – 1
Unsweetened cocoa powder – 2 ½ tablespoons
Red food coloring – 3 tablespoons
Vanilla extract – ½ teaspoon
Buttermilk – ½ cup
All purpose flour – 1 cup + 2 tablespoon
Salt- ½ teaspoon
Baking soda- ½ teaspoon
Distilled white vinegar – 1 ½ teaspoons
For cream frosting-
Butter – 4 ounces
Cream cheese- 4 ounces
Powdered sugar – 2 ½ cups
Vanilla extract – 1 tablespoon

Method:

Pre heat oven to 3500.
Beat butter and sugar on medium-high speed of hand blender for 3 minutes until it becomes light and fluffy.
Now add egg and beat it on high speed and beat the mixture until it is well incorporated.
Now in a bowl mix cocoa powder, vanilla extract and red food coloring to make a thick paste.
Add the batter in it and mix well so that it completely combines.
While mixing, make sure that all the batter gets color.
Now slowly add half buttermilk and beat the batter gently. And then add half of the flour and mix well.
Now repeat the process by adding remaining milk and flour.
Now add salt, baking soda and vinegar and mix the mixture well until it completely combines and becomes smooth.
Divide the batter evenly between the cupcake liners and bake them for 20 minutes.
Check your cupcake by inserting knife in it, if the knife comes out clean that mean your cupcake is ready.
