Strawberry Cake

Easy Strawberry cake recipe with strawberry frosting for you to enjoy. Strawberry cake is simply a cake made with fresh strawberries.
It is an all-time favorite dish with everyone. Here’s sharing with you a simple strawberry cake recipe with strawberry frosting which you can easily prepare at home.

Preparation Time : 60 minutes

Serving : 8-10 People

Ingredients:

125 g softened butter
½ cup castor sugar
2 cups sifted self-rising flour
2 eggs
½ cup milk
1 cup fresh strawberries (mashed)
Strawberry essence
Chocolate chips – ½ cup
For frosting:
3 medium-sized mashed strawberries
1 ½ cup pure icing sugar

Method:

Preheat oven to 180° C and grease an 8 inch cake pan with butter.
Add sugar to softened butter in a bowl and mix until you get a smooth and fluffy paste.
Add eggs to this mixture, one by one, beating continuously and also add vanilla essence.
Then, add flour and milk and mix properly until smooth.
Add strawberries and strawberry essence to this mixture and mix well.
Pour this final mixture into the cake pan and bake at 180° C for 40-45 minutes. Check by inserting a wooden stick at the center of cake and if the stick comes out clean, your cake is done.
Allow it to cool down
For Frosting:
Add icing sugar to mashed strawberries and mix well.
Spread frosting over the cake and decorate with fresh strawberries.
You can also slice cake from the middle and apply one layer of frosting to it.

Nutritional Values : Every serving of a strawberry cake contains about 200 calories and is rich in carbohydrates, proteins and also traces of proteins, calcium, vitamins and iron.
